Parents
Parents’ Meetings
In the summer term there is a welcome-meeting for new parents and children where informationis provided about the school and parents areinvited to visit classes and meet teachers and other support staff.
Throughout the year there are a variety of meetings for example: preparation for SATs, book-making day, PATCH (Parents, Teachers, Children and Helpers) meetings to support reading, family literacy, parenting classes and coffee mornings every fortnight.
Family supper
Twice a year the school organises the Family Supper, which is a wonderful way of bringing parents together for a social event. At this event all our families bring in food from different cultures to share and enjoy within a social setting. We also explore areas of development for the school e.g. Attendance and Punctuality.
Coffee Mornings
All parents, carers and friends of Grafton Primary School are welcomed at our coffee mornings that run every other week. These sessions are an opportunity for everyone to get together for a chat, sometimes we have special events such as bring a dad to school day or focus on boys learninig.
Science/Maths Evenings
There are regular Science and Maths evenings for all parents. These are led by Science Museum personnel or are organised by the school.
The Community Code
We expect that all pupils, parents/carers and staff will feel respected, safe and happy during their time at school.
